The New Seekers, one of the UK's most successful and best loved vocal groups of the seventies have been enjoying a fabulously busy career revival since 2006 and are now available for corporate, hospitality and private functions. They are an act to be booked with confidence as the group have 40 years live performing experience, a wealth of hit songs and popular covers and of course converse well with their audience ensuring a great night's entertainment is enjoyed by all. History: Formed by original Seeker Keith Potger in 1969 The New Seekers soon hit the charts in the US with their first hit 'Look What They've Done To My Song Ma', followed by UK chart success and International fame. The group hit the charts around the world with their biggest hit single 'I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing' which started life as a commercial for Coke-a-Cola. Representing the UK at Eurovision ensured the group remained TV favourites staring on every variety show of the day and their own series in the states. After many years of chart success the group concentrated on cabaret and corporate work. In the past four years they have taken part in many prestigious high profile events at The Royal Albert Hall, The Tower of London, St. James's Palace and Buckingham Palace. The group have sold an amazing 35 million records throughout their career and in July 2009 their Greatest Hits album was issued by Universal TV and shot into the BBC charts at number 17!! The nature of the group's music ensures that the group are suitable for all events requiring an easy listening/pop vocal band. With 40 years experience The New Seekers act is of course polished, professional and highly entertaining. All age groups will love the act with any one over the age of 35 being familiar with the many hit songs performed throughout the show. If only the front line is required for shorter sets or if space dictates then the act can be booked as a five piece and not involve toe two backline musicians. I can supply a professional sound system and technicians to operate where required. Normal length of act for cabaret style is 70 minutes but a two act show is available in 2 x 45 minutes segments.
