MR ENTERTAINMENT HIMSELF.......

I've been around the block once or twice, growing up in many neighborhoods of Brooklyn, The Bronx, and Manhattan with just about all the music such residence implies, plus a few more for good measure.

My career, work, and travels in the music industry have taken me around the globe and here to the United Kingdom, where I've learned different ways to "speak English", gained a new and different sense of humour, and now possess a unique appreciation of the two cultures which I'm sure comes through in my music. I guess you could call me a UK Yank.

The sounds and styles between there and here are remarkably similar yet distinctly different, just like the language we speak. We innovate and embrace what's new while incorporating the old, tried, tested and traditional. In my way musically, I give a salute to my heroes of yesterday, a nod to the trendsetters of today, and the occasional wink at the pioneers of tommorrow.

It's all done in a little medieval city near Stonehenge in south-central England: At my place, Dumb Yank Productions...The name always makes the Brits smile; It's a kind of inside joke. Within a couple of rooms I toil to capture the sounds that keep me gigging throughout the UK..from 60's Motown to the R&B of the naughties. I've earned a good following here as an entertainer, and a pretty good living too, just doing what's always been in my heart and soul. A little TV here, a little radio there, a few big concerts with names you might know, it's all been good...

Meanwhile, my musical vocabulary just keeps on growing: Artist Producer, Singer Songwriter, Arranger Composer, Entertaining Performer, and the bridge between old school Funk, Soul and the new school R&B, Hip-Hop and UK Garage/Dance. I hope you find this small sample of my music to be good listening.
