The 19th of February 1980. Bon Scott is found dead in a car in Overhill Road, London. He had been drinking the night before and was left in the vehicle to sleep off the alcohol. The coroners report stated that the cause of death was 'acute alcohol poisoning', and recorded a verdict of death by misadventure. AC/DC were devastated by the loss, but knowing that Bon would have wanted them to continue, recruited Brian Johnson and took the world by storm. Bon probably raised an ethereal glass to his successor, he was that kind of a bloke. But AC/DC changed without their main protagonist & lyricist.... Recreating the intense, supercharged electricity of a 1970's AC/DC concert. 2 1/2 hours of non-stop cranked-up sweat-dripping rock 'n' roll, playing all the usual Bon Scott classics, and with a fair few surprises in the setlist for the real die-hard AC/DC fans. Don't expect Back In Black, For Those About To Rock or Thunderstruck....if Bon didn't sing it, DC/79 don't play it! Imagine....the Thatcher era has just begun....beer is 35p a pint....and down 'n' dirty boogified rock music never sounded so good! | |
