Influenced by phenomenal artists such as Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Billy Holiday, Rita Chiarelli, Reba McEntire, Melissa Etheridge, Amanda Marshall and so many more, could very well be the reason why Ilse is so versatile in almost any genre of music.  Her song writing and music style is country with an edge. The "edge" being, blues, rock or R&B.  She's a hard hitter filed under Country/Rock.

On March 13, Ilse was born in Amsterdam, but grew up on the country side of Kingston Ontario. Standing at 5' 11" in a size 7 frame, Ilse had every right to pursue a career in modeling, but after graduating from Yvette's Modeling School and working as a model for a high fashion designer in Europe, it wasn't long before she missed hitting the stage footlights with microphone in hand. So back to Canada she flew and hooked up with "The Living Legends" as a Whitney Houston Tribute Artist?

Yes! She won the hearts of so many with her tribute to Whitney Houston! Kingston's NATIONAL TRIBUTE ARTIST CHAMPION in 1998...PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD in Orillia's Tribute Show 2003...CLASSIC HEADLINER WORLD TRIBUTE ARTIST CHAMPION in Fort Erie.

Audiences welcomed Ilse with arms wide open and brought the house down with cheers, as she was announced the winner of the "KX96 Cradle To Rave Talent search" held at the Corral in Oshawa 2002!!
