Formed in early 1976, whilst at school, Bad Manners originally played for fun and they certainly did not expect it to last as long as it has and had absolutely no idea it would be as successful as it has been. The lead singer, Buster Bloodvessel, is famous for many things, his huge torso, his record-breaking tongue, his shaved head and his wild antics on stage. Bad Manners have a renowned reputation for their live performances, admired by all, whatever your tastes, styles or age you will like Bad Manners. Bad Manners also have many hit record under their belt including 'Special Brew', 'Lip Up Fatty', My Girl Lolly Pop', 'Walking On Sunshine', 'Lorraine' 'Just A Feelin' and the legendary 'Can Can. Bad Manners have spent an amazing 115 weeks in the singles charts. For those of you not familiar with Bad Manners or the sound of SKA you should understand the roots of SKA. Over forty years ago in Kingston, Jamaican musicians started mixing their folk music with the music they were listening to from America and created a mixture of Rhythm and Blues, Mento, Calypso with a lot of Jazz solos. This was the Birth of SKA. Many people don't know that SKA was the for-runner to reggae. Bad Manners grew up listening to this music and imitated it in their own way, the product being now what's known as Two-Tone. Bad Manners along with bands such as Madness, The Specials ruled the early eighties. When Two-Tone lost popularity in 1985 all the Two-Tone bands split-up with the exception of Bad Manners who have carried on playing SKA regardlessly.Bad Manners have established themselves as one of the best live bands around playing all over the world, including Europe, America, Japan and Australia, at some of the most prestigious Festivals and Gigs.
