When Steve Marriott left the Small Faces, Rod Stewart was the replacement together with Ron Wood the guiarist (Both had been collaborators in the Jeff Beck Group). They relaunched the band as The Faces and had a hit with "Nods As Good As A Wink".
Stewart's solo career took off with "Maggie May" from his hit album "Every Picture Tells A Story".

In 1975 Rod Stewart relocated to the US and became the international star.
