Having just completed five successful years on London's airwaves with Capital Gold. Mike is now hosting the breakfast drive time show in Manchester for Capital.Also heading his new band Explosion take a listen and let him blow your mind with music you'll just love to dance to.Born in Salford, Greater Manchester, Mike's unique insights on life have been honed by a steely determination to succeed no matter what the adversity.Early jobs included working as a Docker, Coalminer, Building Site labourer and Truck Driving. Realizing the only way out for a working-class kid was either boxing, football or music, he choose the latter. Influenced by John Lee Hooker, Elvis, Dylan and The Beatles. His passion paid off when he became lead vocalist with a succession of Manchester Bands:The Mindbenders, Thunderbyrds, Stack Waddy and The Salford Jets, writing much of the material himself. It was during his time with The Salford Jets that Mike's career took a dramatic turn. He was offered a job as a presenter on Piccadilly Radio; an instant success, his shows made him a household name with millions of listeners in the North West. His credits do not end there, Mike has presented various regional TV shows for both BBC and ITV networks and is always in demand for personal appearances, advertising etc
