"With the tag line "The Show-off must go on", Gavin Munn has been performing his 'Probably Robbie' tribute to Robbie Williams, for just over three years.In that time, he has firmly established himself as one of the top acts in the UK and European tribute market. But how do you decide to take on the mantle of the Robster? Well, Gavin's road to success started after some humble karaoke nights."I was acting in rep in Sidmouth in Devon and we used to do a weekly karaoke" explains Gavin. "I used to do Robbie songs and everybody said that I sounded like him." But it wasn't until his second year in the West Country that the idea really took off. "There was an advert in the Stage saying 'Robbie Wanted', so I had my hair cut short, auditioned and got the job." "I was told I could earn £100 a night" he reveals. "I thought that sounded good, and it would keep me out of telesales at least." So he took the plunge, hasn't stopped working, and earns considerably more than the original estimate!
